1. What do you do in your life?  What do you do and how did you get there?
I organize business events, such as meetings and conferences in Madrid.  How did I get there?  Absolutely by accident.  I started working in the sector 12 years ago in Dublin, obviously by chance and always by chance I went on between ups and downs, those not by chance .. or yes?

2. You were born in Italy and lived in several places before settling in Madrid.  Why did you choose this city?  What does it have more than the others?
The first time I visited Madrid was in 1994, I still remember it, because I immediately felt a feeling, I knew it was a city where I would return.  And so I did
I arrived on a permanent basis in Madrid in late 2010, almost 10 years ago, when Zapatero was there and Madrid was one of the most free cities in the world.  I still remember seeing two guys kissing on the street without a problem .. Unthinkable in Italy, can you imagine ??  When asked what does it have more than the others?  At the moment I would say … garbage. (We are full of garbage) and the restaurants / bars open all day, I love to eat when I want ..

3. What do you think of women in the world of work?  In Italy there is still a significant disparity between male and female employment.  How is the situation in Spain?
More than disparities I would say that there is a difficulty in overcoming certain sexist stereotypes, for example the questions: who do you live with?  Do you have children?  These questions are prohibited by law, but they are still being done.  To me, the last time in 2017 and always by women.  Often women are the worst enemies of women, because they want to be men in a world created by men.  My advice?  Never answer and remember that they are illegal questions.  To a man these questions are never (and I say never) asked.  From a job guarantee point of view, I wouldn’t say that there are more or less facilitations based on the candidate’s gender or less, I would say, instead that there are more facilitated sectors than others.  A recommendation for everyone?  Studying, Studying and still studying, continuous training is the key to go ahead and be competitive

4. If you could get into a painting, which one would you choose?
I believe Paloma sleeping by Pablo Picasso.  It reminds me of when I was sleeping in the summer with my grandmother, it was hot and we kept the windows open.  It is strange, even now, if I think about it, I can hear the noises, the television … My grandmother lived in an old railing house in the center of Milan, the windows overlooked the courtyard, everyone knew everything about everyone, they spoke in dialect and  my grandmother counts the “terroni” that had arrived in the building… Can “terroni” be said?  By now I said it … At most they send me to San Remo with Rita Pavone

5. Do you love to travel?  Is there a place that has entered your heart most?
India without a shadow of a doubt.  When people ask me to tell it, I always say: it is like sitting next to a crate and being surrounded by deafening music.  Here is India and It is a so enveloping experience.

6. What do you think of the current political situation in Italy?
I don’t understand Salvini’s move, I mean, although my opinions can’t be further from his, I don’t understand how a government with Lega ti 38% could have fallen?  Salvini likes the power to have lost him like this, he left me quite amazed.  For the rest, I see a lot of malaise. I am an Italian who has lived abroad for 12 years

7. There are more than 5 million Italians abroad today.  Young people leave but also entire families with children and the elderly.  What do you think about it?
That I’m not surprised … in fact sometimes I don’t understand how my friends still live there ..

8. When was the last time you thought “how lucky I am”?
Yesterday evening, while I was smoking a cigarette on the balcony.

9. What places would you recommend to a person coming to Madrid for the first time?
Hamman Al Andalus, beautiful and relaxing.  Go there but early in the morning, after it’s chaos ..

But there would be at least a thousand … I love the redeveloped neighborhood markets, for example, next to my house, there is the Ventas market and I love it;  having a beer while the ladies are buying fish, I like it to die, it has something authentic …

11. Do you believe in God?
No and I’m sorry.  It would be much easier to live, you could give meaning to many things, as part of a larger design.  But I believe in fate, in the Fates that weave it in the cause-effect relationship.

12. What has been the most difficult moment you have faced since you left Italy?
More than a moment is thinking about my father growing old with me far away

13. Do you think the world can be saved?  Are we still on time?  What should every single person do to make it a better place?
What do you mean?  For the climate?  Yes absolutely .. Given the rubbish around Madrid, try to recycle with sense and go beyond the concept of Bueno, Bonito y Barato that is making us drown in plastic.  Come on, we believe in quality, don’t we?

14. What is the first thought when you wake up in the morning?
Breakfast, I’m always hungry

15. You have a beautiful 5 year old girl.  What kind of mom are you?  What is the teaching that most interests you to inculcate them in your head?
To be happy and not afraid of the world.  Then of course I’m terrified that something might happen to her.  When I think about what I did, I don’t know if I was smarter or simply more fortunate.

16. What do you think of the future?  Do you scare or are you curious?
It intrigues me absolutely, but it scares me to get old, to lose health …

17. If you could talk for an hour with a person (dead or alive) who would you choose and what would you like to talk about?
I would like to talk to two friends that I still hear every now and then, but I haven’t really heard for a long time .. I would like to talk as we talked or we were long ago ..

18. What do you think is the meaning of this carousel called “life”?  Do you ever wonder?
Never, even if, when I read Dylan Dog, I also had the charm of the questions: Where are we going?  Who we are?  I have never had philosophical ambitions

19. Which is a character of the last century that you particularly loved?
Absolutely the last Tsar and the decline of the last years of Imperial Russia

20. What is your dream in the drawer?
I’d like to learn to speak French, Portuguese and Russian

21. How do you see yourself in 20 years?
I hope grappling with early retirement, … impossible?

22. If you were another person, would you be friends with yourself?  And what would bother you?
Absolutely yes, sometimes I still wonder how people can’t want me as a friend.  Defects?  naaaaaa

23. How are you dressed now?
Silver All Star, gray wide trousers and lilac sweater with high collar.  Do you approve?  Did I win anything?
